Rev'd Quophie Anochie Ababio

I was born into a Methodist home, baptised and raised as a Methodist from infancy to my adolescent years.

I went through formal education within the Ghanaian life and setting.

I developed a passion for ministry through my association with the Scripture Union and the Youth Ambassadors for Christ Association serving as travelling secretary for the Scripture Union and a teacher in Akumadan Secondary School.

I was admitted to the Trinity Theological Seminary for training in 1984 and at the same time studied religions with the University of Ghana concurrently.

I was commissioned into the itinerant ministry of the Methodist Church Ghana in June 1987 as a probationer and ordained at the Conference after my probationary training in August 1990.

In 1991 I was permitted by conference to train as a journalist at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. I served the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation for my National Service and the Chana Police Service as a civilian officer at the Public Relations Directorate of the service.

I went back to full-time itinerant ministry as the Diocesan Youth Organiser and later a Superintendent Minister of the Bonwire Circuit.

I began a course in Consultancy, Mission and Ministry at Cliff College in September 2001.

I was employed by the North Lambert Circuit as a Community and Pastoral worker and had pastoral responsibility for the Vauxhall Mission.

I left the appointment in 2007 and served the Ghana Conference in various capacities. A s a Superintendent Minister and Chairman of the Tema Diocesan Fellowship of the Kingdom, a journal secretary and as the synod business committee chairman of the Koforidua Diocese before coming to the UK in 2019 to take up an appointment as the Chaplain to the Ghanian Methodist Fellowships and Congregations UK & IR and also a Presbyter of the West Hertfordshire and Borders Circuit in the Bedfordshire, Essex and Hertfordshire District.

I transferred into Full Connexion at the 2024 Conference in Leeds and posted to the Birmingham Circuit as a full time Presbyter.

Every blessing
